Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The three finalists have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the last year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a historic innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The finalists were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.

The champion will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.

The event will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

The Darts Prodigy

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

He didn't stop there - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and burst into the spotlight with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin came in second place in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm deeply humbled to be nominated for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
